THE PERSON BEHIND THE PAGES

Hi, I’m Jennifer.
You can call me JL.

I’m an elementary educator, an author, and a firm believer that children deserve to see themselves in the stories they read.

After more than a decade in virtual classrooms, I’ve seen the friendships, funny moments, technology mishaps, and small breakthroughs that make learning online its own adventure. Those experiences inspired The WiFi Warriors.

My books bring together the things I care about most: helping children grow into confident learners, making room for imagination, and encouraging teachers to keep asking what’s possible.

I hold a Master of Education in Online Learning and live in the Los Angeles area, where I continue to work in education and write for children, families, and teachers.
